BRISTOL, R.I. – The Roger Williams University Men's Tennis team remained unbeaten in Conference of New England (CNE) action on Saturday afternoon, defeating the University of Saint Joseph (Conn.), 7-0, on the RWU Tennis Courts.

In doubles action, the Hawks opened with a win by default at No. 3 doubles. The Hawks then saw Camden Poitras (Londonderry, N.H.) and Will Hurlbut (Marion, Mass.) earn a 6-0 win over Patrick Dowling-Logue and Rylee Childress to secure the doubles point, ahead of a No. 1 doubles win by the Hawks Ryan Carroll (Holden, Mass.) and Bronson DeSisto (Las Vegas, Nev.), securing the sweep in the doubles session.

Again opening with a point at No.6 singles by default, the Hawks saw DeSisto tally the third point of the match for the Hawks, winning by opponent retirement. No. 2 singles then clinched the match as Carroll defeated USJ's Childress, 6-0, 6-0.

The No. 4 singles match went 6-0, 6-1 in favor of Poitras over Prosterman, while Hurlbut secured a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Dowling-Logue to push the score to 6-0. Iker Rodriguez Alcocer (Nuacalpan de Juarez, Mexico) secured the sweep of the match for Roger Williams with a 6-1, 6-4, 1-0 (10-4) win in a superset tiebreak at the No. 3 singles spot against Adam Jara.

Roger Williams (10-4, 5-0 CNE) will be home on Tuesday, Mar. 31 when they host Bridgewater State at 3:00 pm for Senior Day, ahead of a 6:30 pm match against the University of Hartford.
