Box Score BRISTOL, R.I. — The Roger Williams University Men's Tennis team delivered another commanding performance, defeating Hartford 7–0 in a conference matchup.
The Hawks established control early in doubles play, sweeping all three matches to secure the opening point. The No. 1 duo of Bronson DeSisto (Las Vegas, Nev.) and Ryan Carroll (Holden, Mass.) earned a 6–1 victory, while Iker Rodriguez Alcocer (Nuacalpan de Juarez, Mexico) and Steven Mathew (Bayport, N.Y.) battled to a 7–6 win at No. 2 doubles. Ben Palmer (Wakefield, Mass.) and Colin Belmore (Lakeville, Mass.) rounded out the sweep with a 6–3 victory at the No. 3 position.
Roger Williams continued its strong play into singles competition, winning all six matches in straight sets. DeSisto set the tone at No. 1 singles with a 6–2, 6–2 victory, followed by a dominant 6–0, 6–0 win from Carroll at No. 2. Camden Poitras (Londonderry, N.H.) added another point at No. 3 singles, while Will Hurlbut (Marion, Mass.) secured a 6–2, 6–0 victory at No. 4.
Om Seth (Lincoln, R.I.) and Jackson Slattery (Watertown, Conn.) completed the clean sweep with straight-set wins at No. 5 and No. 6 singles, sealing the 7–0 victory for the Hawks.
With the win, Roger Williams earned a complete sweep of the match, winning all nine contested matches across doubles and singles.
