CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — The Roger Williams University Women's Track & Field team delivered a well-rounded performance across track and field events at the Sean Collier Invitational, hosted by MIT.
The Hawks were led by a standout performance from Angela West, who placed fifth in the javelin with a throw of 36.44 meters. Morgan Ippolito added a 10th-place finish at 29.87 meters, while Nicole Schaffer recorded a mark of 22.76 meters.
In the hurdles, Grace Baldwin finished eighth in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:13.00. Baldwin also contributed across sprint and relay efforts during the weekend.
On the track, the Hawks showed depth in the sprints, led by Kaylee Jackson, who placed 16th in the 100 meters (13.48), followed by Amanda Walsh in 21st (13.76). In the 200 meters, Natalie Reid paced the group with a time of 28.15, while Karsyn Medeiros and Walsh each recorded matching times of 28.70.
In middle-distance competition, Lindsay Maine posted a time of 2:52.94 in the 800 meters, while the 1500-meter group was led by Olivia O'Neill, who finished in 5:26.38. Gabriella Sitzer followed in 5:38.56.
Hanna Tomany cleared 1.43 meters in the high jump, while Natalie Reid added a mark of 4.80 meters in the long jump. In the triple jump, Peyton Sullivan led the Hawks with a distance of 9.73 meters.
In the throwing events, Emma Jackson delivered a strong showing with a 10th-place finish in the discus at 32.30 meters, while also competing in the hammer throw with a mark of 29.13 meters. Avery Williams (28.97m) and Madison Stawicki (26.02m) added depth in the hammer, while Ippolito contributed in both discus (26.59m) and javelin.
