WENHAM, Mass. — The Roger Williams University women's track and field team placed sixth with 31.5 points at the Conference of New England Outdoor Championship, with scoring efforts spread across track, relays, and field events.
In the throws, Angela West delivered the top performance of the meet for the Hawks, placing second in the javelin with a throw of 35.88 meters, while Morgan Ippolito added points with a seventh-place finish at 32.22 meters.
The jumps group also contributed, led by Kaylee Jackson, who placed sixth in the long jump at 5.05 meters. Peyton Sullivan added a scoring performance in the triple jump, finishing eighth with a mark of 10.09 meters.
On the track, Grace Baldwin paced the hurdle group with a fifth-place finish in the 400-meter hurdles in 1:10.30, while Gabriella Sitzer added points in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a sixth-place time of 12:58.44.
In the middle distance events, Olivia O'Neill scored in the 800 meters, placing eighth in 2:29.17.
The sprint group and relays added depth, with the 4x100 relay placing sixth in 51.67 and the 4x400 relay finishing seventh in 4:18.15.
In the throws, Emma Jackson also contributed with a fifth-place finish in the discus at 31.72 meters, rounding out a balanced scoring effort for the Hawks.
