BRISTOL, R.I. – RWU Men’s Cross Country team member Jonathan Ellis (Yonkers, N.Y.) has been named the RWU Male Athlete of the Week after his strong performance at the University of Albany Invitational on Saturday.

 

Ellis finished 76th place in the competition, completing the 8-kilometer course with a time of 27:05.9.  He was able to outkick fellow teammate John Ferguson to earn the first spot on the team.

 

The Hawks, with Ellis’ contribution, finished 19th out of 25 teams at the event, an impressive feat considering the competition field consisted of several Division I and II schools.  The Men’s and Women’s Cross Country teams will host their annual Alumni Race this Saturday, October 23rd beginning at 12:00 p.m.
