BRISTOL, R.I. – Senior guard Carly Spagnola (Millbrook, N.Y.) was named RWU Female Athlete of the Week after totaling 28 points in two conference victories last week for the Women’s Basketball team.

Spagnola began the week shooting 50% from the field to register eight points in the team’s 67-40 road win over Gordon College. She also chipped in one assist and grabbed two rebounds in 20 minutes of play.

Saturday the team faced New England College with Spagnola recording a career-high 20 points in the contest, shooting 9-for-11, including 2-for-2 from three-point land. She added five assists, three rebounds, two steals and one blocked-shot to lead RWU to the 66-56 victory.

RWU (12-3, 5-0 TCCC) steps out of conference play in its next game, Tuesday, at Trinity College beginning at 7:30 p.m.
