Women’s Soccer notches 3-0 win over Eastern Nazarene

Box Score

QUINCY, Mass.  Roger Williams' Laurin Pendleton (Southwick, Mass.) connected for unassisted goals in the 19th and 73rd minute to lift the Hawks' to their seventh win of the season, fifth in the The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC), beating Eastern Nazarene, 3-0, on a rain soaked Veterans Memorial Field in Quincy, Mass.

Pendleton capped her seventh goal of the season too and caused concern in the back for the Lions all game.  While the game fell to the visitors advantage, with the Hawks' racking up thirty shots to the Lions' six and three corner kicks to the Lions' two, the battle was in the midfield most of the game, as the Lions were only unable to penetrate into the Hawks' defensive third.

The Hawks' Alexa Maher (Hopewell, N.J.) poked an additional goal into the Lions net with 49 seconds remaining for the games final result, 3-0.

Eastern Nazarene's goalie Brittany Hislop (Burley, Wash.) made 16 saves on the day while counterpart Jen Garside (Londonderry, N.H.) recorded four saves.

Eastern Nazarene (5-7, 3-3 TCCC) hosts New England College on Quincy's Veterans Memorial Stadium Field next Tuesday, October 6 at 7:00 pm.  Roger Williams (7-3-1, 5-1 TCCC) hosts Nichols College the following day on Wednesday, October 7 at 4:00 pm.
