BRISTOL, R.I. - Ryan Weekes' (Worcester, Mass.) excellent performance this past week has gained her the recognition of RWU Female Athlete of the Week. As a sophomore guard on the Women's Basketball Team, Weekes posted strong stats in games against Salve Regina and The University of New England.

Wednesday night at Salve Regina Weeks put up a career-high 22 points for the Hawks and also recorded a team-high nine rebounds. She sank two clutch free throws with just 21 seconds remaining to bring the Hawks to within one, but a talented Seahawks team pulled out the victory in the end.

The Nor'easters  of New England were another challenge for the Hawks, but Weekes got the team rolling with a jumper within the first six seconds of the game. She went on to lead the team with 16 points, shooting 50% from the field, while also grabbing a team-high nine rebounds.

Weekes and the Hawks play their final home game of the regular season Tuesday at 6 p.m. against Anna Maria College.
