NCAA brackets released for Volleyball and Women’s Soccer

BRISTOL, R.I. – With the release of the NCAA Tournament brackets on Monday, the Roger Williams University Women's Volleyball and Women's Soccer teams found out where they will be headed this weekend to take part in the NCAA Tournament. Volleyball will travels to Springfield College to take on Tufts University, while Women's Soccer will be at host Middlebury College to play The College of New Jersey.

The Volleyball team earned its berth via a 3-1 win over Endicott College Saturday afternoon to claim a third straight Commonwealth Coast Conference Championship. The win for the Hawks extends their winning streak to 19 straight matches and improves the team's overall record to 28-3. The Hawks are currently ranked fifth in the New England region and will face a Tufts team that earned an at-large bid after falling 3-1 to Middlebury in the NESCAC Semifinals.

The Women's Soccer team earned its spot in the NCAA Tournament with a thrilling 1-0 win in double overtime against Endicott College on Saturday. The Hawks have now won nine straight games and enter the tournament with a 14-6-1 record. The Hawks take on a TCNJ team that won its third straight New Jersey Athletic Conference title this past Friday.

Volleyball enters the tournament as the #5 seed in the region and will take on Tufts Friday at 5:30 p.m. Women's Soccer gets the #3 seed and will take on #2 seed TCNJ Saturday at 1:30 p.m.
