Prior to the start of the game, the Hawks honored the four senior student-athletes on the team, Kate Malenczak (Sayville, N.Y.), Carly Spagnola (Millbrook, N.Y.), Nicole Atchue (North Grafton, Mass.), and Sara Morris (Topsham, Maine). Both teams struggled to shoot the ball throughout the game, with Eastern Nazarene hitting 36.8 percent (25-for-68) from the floor and Roger Williams shooting 35.3 percent (24-for-68). The difference came in threes made, bench scoring, and free throw shooting. The Hawks made nine treys compared to ENC's two, got 33 points from the pine against 19 for the Lions, and went 18-for-23 from the charity stripe. Eastern Nazarene hit 9 of 12 free throws in comparison.

Though Eastern Nazarene crashed the offensive boards hard in the first half, grabbing 14 offensive rebounds in the first half, the Hawks held the Lions to only seven offensive rebounds in the second half.
