Volleyball takes match over Mt. Holyoke

Box Score NEWPORT, R.I. – The Roger Williams University Women's Volleyball strolled down to Salve Regina University to take on Mount Holyoke College in a non-conference match. The Hawks came back with a 3-0 win against the Lyons.

The Hawks made quick work of Mount Holyoke, taking the match in an hour and winning by scores of 25-9, 25-15, 25-18.

RWU hit .390 on the day against the Lyons, tallying 39 kills against only nine errors. Twelve different players had at least one kill for the team, including Kristen Neff (Delmar, N.Y.) and Katie Thieret (St. Louis, Mo.) who each had six. Josalyn Benson (Phoenix, Ariz.) and Nicole Weber (Poulsbo, Wash.) handed out 18 and 17 assists, respectively. Cassandra Minogue (Manorville, N.Y.) added five kills and three blocks (one solo, two assist), while Thieret had four service aces.

The Hawks will take on Eastern Nazarene College next on Thursday.
