Box Score 2 BOSTON, Mass. - The Roger Williams University Women's Volleyball earned a split Saturday afternoon in the second day of the University of Massachusetts-Boston Invitational. The Hawks were downed 2-3 by Clark University before coming back with a 3-2 win over UMass-Boston.

In the opening match, Clark took a close 27-25 win in the opening set before the Hawks came back with a pair of 25-13 wins to take a 2-1 lead in the match. Clark forced a fifth set with a hard-fought 25-23 win before closing out the match with the 15-13 win in the final set.

Kristen Boyer (Ephrata, Pa.) led RWU with 19 kills in the match to go along with 14 digs.
Josalyn Benson (Phoenix, Ariz.) finished with a season-high 53 assists 14 digs.
Maria Batas (Merrick, N.Y.) added 29 digs and two service aces.

The second match began similar to the first match of the day, with the Beacons taking the first set before a two-set rally by RWU. UMass-Boston logged a 25-17 win in the opening game, followed by RWU wins in the second and third set by scores of 25-23 and 25-22. The Beacons took the fourth set 25-20, but this time the Hawks were able to hold down the fifth set, winning 15-13.

Molly Quilty (Duxbury, Mass.) led RWU with 14 kills and three blocks, while Boyer added 13 kills and seven digs. Benson handed out 42 assists with eight digs, and Batas and
Kristen Neff (Delmar, N.Y.) finished with 19 and 12 digs, respectively.

Roger Williams (15-11) will host Eastern Nazarene Tuesday in its last home match of the regular season.
