Women's Volleyball Downs Wentworth in Second CCC Match

Box Score BRISTOL, R.I. – The Roger Williams University women's volleyball team won it's second CCC (Commonwealth Coast Conference) conference match against Wentworth Institute of Technology.

The first set went point for point until The Hawks pulled away to make it 21-16. The Leopards would then call a time out to come back and tie the game. The Leopards won the first set 25-22. The Hawks hit .280 while the leopards hit a .034 on the set.

The Hawks would then take the next three sets, 25-12, 25-17 and 25-11. Junior, Kristen Boyer, lead the hawks with 15 kills hitting a .195 followed by freshman, Molly Quilty, with 13 kills hitting .500. Sophomore, Meghan Smith had 5 kills and senior, Kristen Neff had 7 kills on the night. Nicole Weber had 36 assists and Maria Batas had 16 digs for the night. Cassandra Minogue led the Hawks with 7 blocks.

Sydney Myers led the Leopards with 7 kills hitting a .111, followed by Katelyn Carlson with 5 kills hitting .267. Amanda Hunton had 13 assists and Lillie Clark led the leopards with 14 digs.

The Hawks have another CCC match Friday, October 2^nd against Gordon College and Saturday, October 3^rd, against Endicott College.

The Hawks are now 9-7, 2-0 in conference. The Leopards are 4-11, and 0-4 conference.
