Men's Ice Hockey Falls To Eastern Conn. St.

On Saturday, the Roger Williams University Men's Ice Hockey team welcomed conference rival Eastern Connecticut to Driscoll Arena, for the team's second meeting this season.

In the first period the teams traded chances, but neither team found the back of the net until Alex Abad scored in the powerplay after a great cross ice pass from Jeff Demers.  The Hawks would take the 1-0 lead into the first intermission.

The teams would continue to trade chances in the second, Eastern Connecticut State would eventually tie the game when Sam Watson found the back of the net.  The game was knotted at one to begin the third, the Warriors would change that scoring early in the third to give them a 2-1 lead.  The Hawks continuously tested the ECSU goalie but could not convert on the numerous chances that piled up for them.  The Hawks could not respond and fell 2-1 to Eastern Connecticut State.
