BRISTOL, R.I. – The Roger Williams men's ice hockey team fell to Boston University 6-4 on Sunday afternoon at Portsmouth Abbey Arena.
The Bulldogs scored five of their goals against the Hawks just within the first period.
Anthony Mercurio (Coventry, R.I.) opened up the scoring for the Hawks with assists from
Brian Gazard (Ashland, Mass.) and
Marco Santagati (Belmont, Mass.).
The Hawks took over control during the second period with two goals. Santagati found the back of the net unassisted while
Grady Chretien (Goffstown, N.H.) elevated the scoring to 5-3 with assists from
Peyton Defeo (Boxford, Mass.) and
Parker Defeo (Boxford, Mass.).
The Hawks and the Bulldogs both scored during the third period, finishing the game with a final score of 6-4. Santagati completed his second goal with an assist from
Parker Defeo.
Roger Williams (3-6-0) will travel to Reilly Memorial Rink at Boston College on Friday, Nov. 10 at 8:00 pm, the Hawks will then host Eastern Connecticut State on Nov. 11 at 2:00 pm at Portsmouth Abbey Arena.
