The Roger Williams University Men's Ice Hockey team looked for a quick turn around after their Saturday loss as they took on UMass-Lowell at 11:30 on Sunday morning.
In the first, the Hawks controlled play in the first but couldn't find the back of the net. The Hawks did get on the board when
Ian Mitchell scored an unassisted goal. However the Beacons would answer two minutes later after miscommunication behind the Hawks allowed for Cassie to score.
The Hawks dictated the pace of play throughout the game which continued into the third but couldn't take another lead until there was only eight minutes left in the third when
Ian Mitchell scored his second goal of the game. In the last minutes of the game, UMass-Lowell applied pressure put could not find a way to score on Tim Kelleher who would earn the win making 15 saves.
Joseph Bina would add an empty net goal to give the Hawks a 3-1 win.
