The Wildcats pull away late for 10-1 victory over the hawks

Box Score Bristol, RI- The Roger Williams University softball team lost a tough one on Sunday against Johnson and Wales. While the Hawks hung tough, Johnson & Wales University pulled away late for the 10-1 victory.

Meghan Gavin, Kristen, Salori, and Emily Gorecki helped lead Johnson & Wales University . They combined for eight hits and five RBIs.  
In the third inning, the Hawks pushed across its only run of the day on an RBI double by Haley Ledbetter (Westerly, RI).

Johnson & Wales University stayed on top until the final out after taking the lead in the fifth, scoring three runs on two doubles and an RBI single by Gavin.

Johnson & Wales University tacked on another six runs in the seventh. The inning got off to a hot start when Emily Gorecki tripled, bringing home Gavin and Solari. That was followed up by Emily Shaper's single, plating Emily Gorecki.

The Hawks play again on Wednesday March, 23rd at 4PM against UMASS-Dartmouth in N. Dartmouth, MA.
