Box Score NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Roger Williams University Women's Soccer dropped its third straight game Wednesday evening, falling 0-3 to Connecticut College.
 
Sophomore Alex Baltazar (Ludlow, Mass.) scored a pair of first half and assisted on a third score in the second stanza to lead the Connecticut College women's soccer team.
 
Junior Alexa Tribelli (Cranston, R.I.) chipped in with a second half score. Classmate Michelle Medina (Hartford, Conn.) had two assists while sister Nicole contributed with a helper in the first stanza.  Rookie net-minder Sarah Williams (Sherborn, Mass.) earned the shutout for the Camels in her first collegiate start.
 
Senior Amanda Proulx (Smithfield, R.I.) and junior Alex Bukovac (Winnetka, Ill.) anchored the Camel defense that kept a clean sheet.
 
Roger Williams University net-minder Sydney Martin (Scarborough, Maine) finished with three saves in the loss.
 
The Camels vaulted out to  an early lead in the second minute when Michelle Medina delivered an entry pass to Baltazar, who chipped one over the head of Martin to make it a 1-0 game.  Then, in the 12^th minute of play, the Camels extended their lead when Nicole Medina delivered a through ball ahead to Baltazar, who found the back of the net with her second goal of the half.
 
While Williams and the defense took care of their business, the Camels closed out the game's scoring with a nice combination of crisp passing.  Michelle Medina cycled the ball ahead to Baltazar at the 18 yard line, who then made a one-touch pass to Tribelli who was sprinting to the far post and chipped in her first goal of the season.
 
The Camels will open NESCAC play this Saturday when Middlebury College comes to town for an 11:30 a.m. game. Connecticut College defeated Middlebury 3-0 in their last meeting in New London back in 2014. The victory galvanized the program in a season that culminated with the Camels capturing their first conference crown.
