Men’s Tennis Tripped Up by #15 Amherst

Box Score ORLANDO, Fla. – The Roger Williams University Men's Tennis fell to nationally-ranked #15 Amherst College in the team's first match of its spring break trip.
 
At doubles, the Hawks were downed 8-0 at each flight. Jake Cole (Sterling, Va.) and Matthew Russo (Branford, Conn.) competed at #1, while Brendan White (Old Lyme, Conn.) and Matty Feldman (Duxbury, Mass.) played at #2. Alex Bonanno (Westford, Mass.) and Miles Conlin (Branford, Conn.) saw action for the Hawks at #3.
 
At singles, Bonanno managed to take three games off of his opponent Sam Silver at #3, but fell 6-1, 6-2. White fell 6-1, 6-1 to Nathan Kaplan at #2 while Jared Gansert (Scituate, R.I.) was taken down 6-0, 6-0 at #6 to Oliver Kendall. Cole fell by the same score to Jesse Levitin at #1.
 
Russo and Thomas O'Leary (North Easton, Mass.) each dropped 6-1, 6-0 respectively to Chris Paradis and Cameron Raglin at #4 and #5.
