Box Score 2 Clermont, FL- The Roger Williams University softball team had trouble keeping up with Millikin University in a 9-1 loss on Wednesday in Clermont, Florida.
Millikin University took the lead for good with three runs in the second inning. In the second Kalli Farmer doubled off of
Rachel Wandzilak (West Islip, N.Y.), driving in one run, Kelsey Farmer hit a sacrifice fly to drive in a run, and Nicole Koch doubled off of Wandzilak, driving in one run.
Millikin University scored three runs in the third inning. The big inning for Millikin University came thanks to a single by Farmer and a single by Farmer.
Cathy Lebryk earned the win for Millikin University. She tossed six innings, surrendering one run, four hits, striking out two, and walking zero. Wandzilak took the loss for the Hawks. She went two and two-thirds innings, surrendering six runs, six hits, and striking out one.

Valerie Moran (Syosset, N.Y.), and
Julianne Vesce (Mahwah, N.J.) each collected one hit to lead the Hawks.
Millikin University collected nine hits. Alyssa Voegele and Farmer each collected multiple hits for Millikin University.
Alexis Romano (Shirley, N.Y.) scored the only run for the Hawks.
In their second game of the day, the Hawks had trouble keeping up with Susquehanna University in a 6-1 loss on Wednesday.
Roger Williams took a 1-0 lead in the third and Susquehanna answered with a three-run fourth to take the lead and added one run in the sixth and two more in the seventh for the win.
Susquehanna University took the lead for good with three runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Kelly Miller homered off of
Juliet Hulme, driving in two runs and McKayla Brady singled off of Hulme, driving in one run.
Micaela Pohl (Middlebor, MA), Merri Moise (North Reading, MA),
Haley Ledbetter (Westerly, R.I.),
Sigita Ivaska (Gibsonia, PA),
Alyssa Murray Green Brook, N.J.), and
Alicia McCauley (North Reading, MA) all had one hit to lead the Hawks.
Susquehanna University had nine hits in the game. Kasey Bost, Lauren Creamer, Leigh Ann Greenwald, and Miller each collected multiple hits for Susquehanna University.
