Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Bristol, RI- The Roger Williams University softball team had their first two conference wins on Saturday afternoon against the Leopards of Wentworth Institute of technology.
 
Wentworth Institute of Technology captured the lead in the first inning. Kelsey Gorski grounded out, scoring one run. The game was tied at two with the Hawks batting in the bottom of the third when Julianne Vesce singled off of Erica Norquist, driving in one run.
 
 
The Hawks took the lead for good in the third inning to capture a back-and-forth game from Wentworth Institute of Technology by a 7-2 score on Saturday. The Hawks took the lead for good with two runs in the third inning. In the third Mikaela Grosso (West Warwick, R.I.) grounded out, scoring one run.
 
The Hawks collected a total 15 hits. Julianne Vesce (Mahwah, N.J.), Valerie Moran (Syosset, N.Y.), Taylor Chatowsky (North Kingstown, R.I.), Tara Chatowsky (North Kinstown, R.I.), Haley Ledbetter (Westerly, R.i.),,  and Juliet Hulme (Duxbury, MA), each collected multiple hits. Chatowsky and Vesce each drove in two runs to lead the Hawks.
 
In the second game of the double header conference match-up, the Hawks early lead helped the Hawks defeat Wentworth Institute of Technology 10-2.
 
The Hawks captured the lead in the first inning. Maddie Reis drove in a run when she walked with the bases loaded. The Hawks scored on a walk by Maddie Reis, a single by Valerie Moran, and a single by Alicia McCauley (North Reading, MA) in the first inning.
 
The Hawks finished the game in the fifth inning when V Moran got out on a sacrifice fly to right field for Alexa Califano (Dix Hills, N.Y.) to run in the final run for the Hawks to go up 10-2 and finish the game.
 
The Hawks collected a total  3 hits. Alicia McCauley and Alexa Califano each collected multiple hits. Califano and McCauley each collected two hits to lead the Hawks.
