Box Score HARTFORD, Conn. - First-year Teddy Myers (Washington, D.C.) paced the Bantam offense with four goals and an assist as the Trinity College men's lacrosse team doubled up the Roger Williams Hawks, 14-7 on Saturday afternoon at Jessee/Miller Field in Hartford. Trinity improves to 3-7 overall with the win while the Hawks fall to 6-5. Trinity returns to action on Tuesday when they face in-state New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) foe Wesleyan in Middletown.
 
Sophomores Max DeLameter (Irvington, N.Y.) and Ben Knaus (Ross, Calif.) tallied three scores each for Trinity while junior John Caraviello (Wellesley, Mass.) had a game-high three assists. Junior goalie Woody Hamilton (Williamstown, Mass.) picked up his third win of the season, stopping seven shots between the pipes. Roger Williams was paced by Max Cammarota (Redding, Conn.) who had a goal and two assists while Shawn Errasti (Duxbury, Mass.) led the defense with three ground balls.
 
The Bantams took a 3-2 lead into the second quarter thanks to a goal from DeLameter to open and close the frame, sandwiched between the first of Myers' four scores. The Hawks saw goals by Chris Bova (Ridgefield, Conn.) and Justin MacIntyre (Norwalk, Conn.) in the opening quarter.
 
Trinity exploded for four goals in the second period to take a commanding 7-2 lead. Knaus scored at the 11:26 mark before Myers found the back of the net twice within a minute, the first at 10:23. Caraviello assisted on a goal by rookie Matt Gardiner (Potomac, Md.) who beat Roger Williams starting goalie Dolan Jones (Levittown, N.Y.) with just five ticks left before halftime.
 
The Hawks scored first in the third quarter before junior Jack Sharrio (Marblehead, Mass.) responded with his lone goal of the game to make it 8-3 Trinity. DeLameter and Knaus scored once each with under a minute left in the quarter to give the Bantams a six-goal advantage entering the final frame.
 
Knaus, Alex Notman (Wellesley, Mass.) and Troy Hanlon (New Vernon, N.J.) scored the first three goals of the fourth quarter before Cammarota and AJ Core (Syosset, N.Y.) tallied scores for the Hawks to cut into the deficit. Myers scored for the fourth time with 3:24 to play before John Lisitano (Guilford, Conn.) found the back of the net for Roger Williams' with 2:02 left to play, the last score by either side for the day.
