Box Score ORLANDO, Fla. – The Roger Williams University Men's Tennis team fell 7-2 to the University of Scranton Wednesday evening in the team's final match of their Spring Break trip.
Jake Cole (Sterling, Va.) and Thomas O'Leary (North Easton, Mass.) collected the team's sole doubles win of the evening, taking down Christian Aksu and Emmett Ryan 8-6 at #3 doubles. Brendan White (Old Lyme, Conn.) and Jared Deibe (Oakland, N.J.) fell 8-4 to Keller McGurrin and Tarquin McGurrin at #1 while Alexander Ochalski and Brian Harkins defeated Nick Spoor (Ballston Spa, N.Y.) and Miles Conlin (Branford, Conn.) 8-6 at #2.
Matty Feldman (Duxbury, Mass.) took down Ryan 6-2, 6-2 at #6. However that was the lone singles win for Roger Williams. McGurrin earned a 6-4, 6-4 decision over White at #1 while McGurrin won 6-1, 6-2 against Spoor at #2.
Ochalski downed Cole 6-1, 6-1 at #3 and Aksu earned a 6-4, 6-4 win over O'Leary at #5. Charles Swope came back for a 4-6, 6-1, 10-6 over Deibe.
Roger Williams (2-2) returns to Bristol to host Eastern Nazarene on March 24.
