Box Score WENHAM, Mass. — Gordon hosted Roger Williams in Commonwealth Coast Conference play at the Brigham Athletic Complex for Senior Day and put 12 shots on goal in its 12-5 loss.
The Fighting Scots (5-9, 1-6 CCC) struck first as Dan Arthur scored in the sixth minute. Tim Mullane tied the game five minutes later for the Hawks (8-7, 4-4 CCC) with a goal assisted by Justin Macintyre. Tytus Moen scored two minutes later to give Gordon a 2-1 lead. Roger Williams scored two goals in the second quarter to make it a 3-2 game at halftime.
In the second half, the Hawks started the game with four straight goals to build up a 7-2 lead. Moen scored in the 37th minute to cut the lead to four goals. Roger Williams responded by scoring three goals in the next six minutes to stretch the lead out to seven goals. Nick Palandjian scored off a pass from Jason Dantona with 1:08 left in the third quarter to make it a 10-4 game entering the fourth quarter. The Hawks sealed the win by outscoring the Fighting Scots 2-1 in the fourth quarter.
Moen led the team with two goals. Palandjian, Arthur, and Xander Miller all scored one goal. Billy Biegun led the team with five ground balls.
Jay Gallipo recorded seven saves and faced 33 shots.
Gordon closes out the season with a road game at CCC foe Western New England April 24 at 7 p.m.
