CRANSTON, R.I. – The Roger Williams University Men's Golf team earned an 11
th-place finish at the Wildcat Spring Invitational this past weekend.
Ryan Burrill (Southington, Conn.) had the top finish for Roger Williams, coming in a tie for 13
th place after shooting +10 or the weekend. Burrill would shoot a 76 on both days of the tournament.
Ben DeFelice (Warwick, R.I.) was tied for 40
th after posting a score of +16. Similar to Burrill, DeFelice began the tournament with a round of 76 on day one. The second day of competition saw him shoot an 82.
Burke Howell (Beverly, Mass.) was tied for 51
st place with his two-day total of +18. He would come away with an opening round score of 79, followed by shooting an 81 on day two.
Justin Hayes (Bedford, N.H.) placed 58
th for Roger Williams on the weekend, finishing at +20 for the Hawks. He put together identical scores of 81 on both days of the tournament.
Cullen Zurcher (Glastonbury, Conn.) completed the Hawks' results with a +24 two-day score. Zurcher began the tournament with a round of 84 before closing out the second day with a round of 82.
Amherst College took the team title, with the Mammoths' Cole Vissicchio taking medalist honors.
