UNCASVILLE, Conn. (AP) — The Roger Williams University Men's Golf team placed fourth overall at the Eastern Connecticut State University Spring Invitational on Monday at Mohegan Sun Golf Club.
The Hawks finished with a team score of 314 (+30) on the par-71, 6,690-yard course, placing behind American International College (297, +13), host Eastern Connecticut State (309, +25), and Western Connecticut State (311, +27). Western New England (317, +33) and Elms College (367, +83) rounded out the standings.
Roger Williams was led by Will LaFrance (Westport, Mass.), who carded a 4-over-par 75 (40-35) to finish sixth overall. Gianni Fontenault (Warwick, R.I.) followed with a 77 (+6), placing him among the top 10 finishers.
Joel Collins (Manchester, N.H.) added a 79 (+8) for the Hawks, while PJ Forbes (Westport, Mass.) recorded an 83 (+12). Will Reece (Charlton, Mass.) rounded out the lineup with an 84 (+13).
American International's Brendan Raymond earned medalist honors with an even-par 71, while Eastern Connecticut's Ryan O'Donnell and AIC's Aryan Sharma each finished at 1-over-par 72.
This marks the end of the Hawks' season.
