Women’s Polo Drops First Contest Of The Season

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Competing in their first game in almost two years, the Roger Williams University Women's Polo team stepped back in action Sunday afternoon against Harvard University. Unfortunately, the Hawks fell 2-15 to the Crimson.

How It Happened
Harvard jumped out ahead early on, and RWU was unable to get back in the game. Harvard totaled six goals in the opening period, while Roger Williams was unable to score. The Hawks' Nicole Quinlan (Barrington, R.I.) managed to put RWU on the board with a goal in the second period, yet Harvard scored twice in the chukka to take a 7-1 lead into halftime.
 
After the break, the Crimson went back to work offensively, tallying four unanswered scores in the period. Roger Williams' Avery Boruch (Portsmouth, R.I.) added the final score for RWU on the day in the fourth, but Harvard added three more goals to close out the match.
