BRISTOL, R.I. – The Roger Williams University Sailing team picked up two more wins this past weekend, hosting the University of Rhode Island in a fleet race and a team race and coming away with wins in both.

Hawk Highlights
The program dedicated its team race and fleet race to Dr. Robin Wallace, a Newport sailing who passed away. Due to COVID-related issues, Coast Guard had to withdraw from competition, leaving RWU and URI to battle it out.

URI and RWU each put three teams to face off in a single round robin, in which the Hawks finished first, second, and sixth. After the round-robin, the teams competed in fleet racing.
At the fleet race, URI put eight different boats out while the Hawks sent nine boats on the water. Roger Williams again took the top spot, while putting three in the top five.
