BREWSTER, Mass. – The Roger Williams University men's golf team finished the weekend 46 above par, tied for 11
th at the New England Intercollegiate Golf Association (NEIGA) Championships at The Captains Course.
The Hawks posted a combined 622 between both rounds, shooting 307 in round one and following with a second round 315.
Babson took the championship shooting a combine three over par, while Middlebury placed second at 12 over par. Endicott was the top Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) team finishing sixth, while Suffolk landed in ninth. The Hawks finished above Nichols by one stroke.
Ben Brodeur (Whitinsville, Mass.) was the top finisher for the Hawks shooting four over par for the weekend, hitting an even par, 72, on Saturday before hitting a 76 on Sunday to finish tied for 13
th.
Cal Tryder (Wakefield, Mass.) hit was nine over after hitting 76 and 77 in rounds one and two respectively.
Shooting a 75 on day one and 84 on round two,
Ben DeFelice (Warwick, R.I.) finished 15 over par, as he was the third Hawk to finish.
Trevor Hada (Los Angeles, Calif.) then hit 21 over, and
Johnny Doherty (Braintree, Mass.) hit 23 over to round out the scoring.
Roger Williams finishes the Fall and will look to begin preparations for a CCC Championship appearance in the Spring.
