BELCHERTOWN, Mass. - The Roger Williams University men's golf team competed over the weekend at the Blazer Invitational hosted by Elms, finishing eighth.
The Hawks finished 118 over par for the tournament, completing day one at Ledges Golf Club with a combined team score of 334 ranking seventh on the day, before posting a team score of 356 on Sunday at the Cold Spring Country Club.
Ben Brodeur (Whitinsville, Mass.) led the way for Roger Williams posting a score of 21 over par through two days, shooting 80 on day one and finishing the Invitational tied for 22nd.
Ben DeFelice (Warwick, R.I.) was the next Hawk on the score board, closing the second round one stroke back of Brodeur.
Trevor Hada (Los Angeles, Calif.) finished the round at +27 before
Andrew Christopher (Arlington, Mass.) and
Adam Carulli (Rehoboth, Mass.) came in at +48 and +54 respectively, closing out the field for the Hawks.
Amherst came in first at the Blazer Invite coming in with a team score of 31 over par. Easter Connecticut State placed second with a 43 and Suffolk and Gordon were the top CCC schools finishing in third and fourth respectively.
Roger Williams will be in action on Saturday, Oct. 15, and Sunday, Oct. 16 at the New England Intercollegiate Golf Association (NEIGA) Championship in Brewster, Mass.
