Women’s Rugby: Hawks Remain Unbeaten in Conference Play

WATERVILLE, Maine – The Roger Williams University women's rugby team finished conference play unbeaten for the second straight season, being named Rugby Northeast Division 2, winning, 24-17.
 
The Hawks needed key defensive plays by Casey Dunbar (West Nyack, N.Y.) and Skyler Keleman (Stratford, Conn.) in order to secure the victory. Tiana Adams (Rochester, N.H.), Sarah Gray (Freeport, Maine), Natalia Comiskey (Clinton, Conn.) and Makayla Carrafiello (Framingham, Mass.) each scored tries for the Hawks. Gray also scored off a pair of conversions.
 
Colby College came into the match undefeated as well, dropping their first contest of the season.
 
Roger Williams (5-0) will travel to Culpeper, Va. For a match with Coastal Carolina in the Regional Playoffs at Nov. 12 at 1:30 pm.  With a win the Hawks would then turn their attention to Houston, Texas for a shot at a National Championship in December.
