BRISTOL, R.I. – The Roger Williams University Women's Basketball team ascended three more spots in the latest Women's Basketball Coaches Association national poll, as the Hawks now sit in a tie for 16
th in the nation.
Last week, Roger Williams saw action in three games over the span of six days. The Hawks began on Monday with a 93-24 victory over Curry College, the program's largest-ever win as the program most points scored in a single game.
On Wednesday, RWU traveled north to take on Gordon College, where the Hawks used a fourth-quarter rally to take down the Fighting Scots 71-59. Roger Williams then closed out the week on Saturday, downing Endicott College 67-54 in front of a raucous crowd on Senior Day.
"As we get deeper into the season, it is nice to see our name still listed among the top teams in the country," said Head Coach
Kelly Thompson. "It is a testament to the work our players have put in to making each game important. We have tough CCC games remaining, and we will need to continue to focus on one game at a time."
The Hawks are set to host the University of New England on Saturday at 1:00pm.
