BIDDEFORD, Maine – Roger Williams University Men's Lacrosse attacker
Tim Mullane (Hanover, Mass.) received Commonwealth Coast Conference Offensive Player of the Week honors for the week of February 28
th through March 6
th, as it was announced by the conference offices on Monday. During a 1-1 week for the Hawks, Mullane was an integral part of the offensive attack in both contests.
This is not the first time Mullane has been honored by the CCC for his play on the field, although it does mark his first weekly award since his freshman year when he received two Rookie of the Week honors. He was also named to the All-CCC Third Team at the end of last season.
The graduate student captain was a dominant offensive force both as a scorer and a distributor this week. Against Lasell on Wednesday, Mullane netted three goals, one while on a man advantage, and threw in a helper during the team's 16-6 win. The veteran capped off his week with a strong showing against UMass-Boston when he set a new career high for both goals with seven and points with ten. Additionally, Mullane caused two turnovers against UMB and totaled six ground balls, three in each game.
Following his performances this week, the captain now leads all players in the CCC in goals at 13 and is second behind only his teammate
Jared Grier (Quincy, Mass.) in points with 17.
