BRISTOL, R.I. – The Roger Williams University Sailing team grabbed tenth at the NEISA Women's Championship as the highlight of their trio of regattas on Saturday and Sunday. While the finish is not good enough to earn an automatic bid to the Women's National Championship, they are believed to be well positioned to get an at-large bid that will be announced on May 1^st.  
 
Hawk Highlights
While the most notable finish of the weekend was at the NEISA Women's Championship, the top placing for Roger Williams came at the Spring Oberg Trophy. At that event, the boats of Mathieu Dale (Christiansted, USVI) and Claire Buckley (Bridgewater, Conn.), and Chase Reynolds (Southport, Conn.) and Ruby Hope (Atlanta, Ga.) each took third place in the A and B Divisions respectively to lift the Hawks to a sixth-place finish as a team.
 
At the NEISA Women's Championship, RWU started strong, particularly the boat of Claire Siegel-Wilson (Portland, Ore.) and Julia O'Connor (Foxboro, Mass.) in A Division on day one, grabbing four top-five finishes in the first seven races. However, they did not perform as well in B Division and had a poor day two showing resulting in a tenth-place finish.
 
The Hawks rounded out the weekend by taking 11^th at the Thompson Trophy.
