PORTSMOUTH, R.I. – The Roger Williams University men's ice hockey team fell in a Sunday afternoon tilt to American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) Division 2 foe Boston University at Portsmouth Abbey, 4-2.

Jeff Pimental (East Providence, R.I.) made 36 saves in the contest on the 39 shots that he faced, while the Terriers' Alex Gibian made 29 stops in the cage.
In the opening period Roger Williams took a 1-0 lead when,
Pat Codeanne (Wethersfield, Conn.), received a pass from
Marco Santagati (Belmont, Mass.), that Codenne then fired from the bottom of the circle into the bottom right corner of the net.
In the second period Boston University leveled the score when the Terriers's Nick Jasie intercepted a pass by the Hawks, finding David Romaine streaking towards the net for the goal. Shortly after,
Alex Forward (Concord, N.H.) scored on a bar down shot from the point through traffic, assisted by
Kyle Greer (Bedford, Mass.) who picked up his 29
th point of the season.
In the final period, the Terriers scored three goals in quick succession, with Romaine scoring on a blast from the point on a power play opportunity, leveling the game, 2-2. With 2:47 remaining, Boston Unversity took their first lead of the game, scoring on an Ayden Steinbeck one-timer in the slot. The Terriers scored once more on an empty net to close out the matchup.
Roger Williams (9-12-0 ACHA) will be off until Friday, Feb. 3 at 8 pm when they take on Saint Anselm. The Hawks will then close out the regular season on Sunday, Feb. 5 at 2 pm against Boston College. Both contests will be played at Portsmouth Abbey.
