BRISTOL, R.I. – The Roger Williams men's ice hockey team fell to Bentley 5-3 Saturday afternoon at Portsmouth Abbey Arena.
The Falcons had control over the scoring during the first period.
Grady Chretien (Goffstown, N.H.) opened up the scoring for the Hawks nine minutes into the second period with an assist from
Matt Marois (Sutton, Mass), but Bentley put up a fight, finding the back of the net twice more making the score 4-1.
Brian Gazard (Ashland, Mass.) and
Peyton Defeo (Boxford, Mass.) both scored for the Hawks in the third period with assists from
Marco Santagati (Belmont, Mass.) and Chretien
. Bentley finished the game with a final shot to the net beating the Hawks 5-3.
Roger Williams will play Sacred Heart on Sunday, Oct. 9 at 5:45 pm at Martire Family Arena. The Hawks will then host Sacred Heart on Friday, Nov. 3 at 7:00 pm at Portsmouth Abbey Arena.
