Box Score PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Roger Williams University softball team fell to Johnson & Wales on Wednesday afternoon, falling 1-2 in non-conference action to the Wildcats.
Taylor Myers (East Have, Conn.) took the circle to start for the Hawks going two innings only allowing a pair of hits and a run, unearned.
Taylor Howell (Sandwich, Mass.) went 1-for-2 at the dish, coming across to score.
Maddie Predaris (Rye, N.H.) brought in a run with the along with
Isabelle Rosado (Central Islip, N.Y.).
Roger Williams struck first with Predaris hitting a single to short, with Howell coming across to score. The Wildcats would then add a run in the bottom half of the inning before adding another run in the top of the second with Rosado hitting an RBI single up the middle.
In the bottom of the third Johnson & Wales erupted for four runs on three hits, taking command 4-2. In the bottom of the fourth the Wildcats added six runs taking control before holding the Hawks off the scoreboard in the fifth.
Roger Williams (8-17, 1-5 CCC) will host Gordon and Western New England for a pair of Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) doubleheaders on Friday, Apr. 14 and Saturday, Apr. 15.
