THOMPSON, Conn. – The Roger Williams University men's golf team is set to take part in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Championships on Saturday, Apr. 29 and Sunday, Apr. 30.
The Hawks will look to win their first CCC Championship since 2002. This is the Hawks first Championship appearance since the 2020-21 season.
The Hawks will tee off at Raceway Golf Club in Thompson, Conn., facing Endicott Suffolk and Roger Williams who were the other three teams that qualified back in the Fall during the CCC Qualifier.
At the qualifier, Nichols took the top spot hitting a 309 (+25) with Endicott finishing two strokes behind the Bison. Suffolk posted a 317 (+33) before Roger Williams scored a 319 (+35) to edge out Western New England by a single stroke.
Ben Brodeur (Whitinsville, Mass.) will be the No. 1 spot for the Hawks, with
Ben DeFelice (Warwick, R.I.) at No. 2.
Cal Tryder (Wakefield, Mass.) is No. 3 on the roster for the event, with
Trevor Hada (Los Angeles, Calif.) playing No. 4, and
Jake Brennan (Duxbury, Mass.) rounding out the roster at No. 5.
Roger Williams will begin competition on the 36-hole tournament on Saturday, Apr. 29.
