BREWSTER, Mass. – The Roger Williams University Men's Golf team wrapped up competition at the 2025 New England Intercollegiate Golf Association (NEIGA) Championships this weekend, finishing seventh overall in a strong field at The Captains Golf Course in Brewster, Massachusetts.
After opening the tournament with a 309 (+21) in Saturday's first round, the Hawks closed with a 311 (+23) on Sunday to post a two-day total of 620 (+44). Hartford took home the team title at 610 (+22), followed by Western New England at 612 (+24) and Endicott at 617 (+29).
Sammy Johnson (West Springfield, Mass.) led the Hawks with rounds of 74 (+2) and 73 (+1) to finish at 147 (+3), tying for third overall. Ryan Dacey (East Greenwich, R.I.) and Will Lafrance (Westport, Mass.) each recorded two-day totals of 155 (+11) after identical rounds of 78 (+6) and 77 (+5). Josh Peterson (Goffstown, N.H.) followed with an 84 (+12) on Sunday to finish at 163 (+19), while Will Reece (Charlton, Mass.) rounded out the lineup with a 91 (+19) for a total of 176 (+32).
The Hawks' seventh-place finish capped a competitive fall slate, as the team looks ahead to continued success in the spring portion of the 2025–26 season.
