WARREN, R.I. – The Roger Williams University Equestrian team traveled to Brown on Saturday for their third show of the 2024-25 season. The Hawks placed __ overall with ___ taking the win on the day.
Starting off the morning for the Hawks, was senior captain
Leah Petricca (Pittsfield, Mass.) competing in both the Open Fences and Flat classes and placing 1st and 5th respectively starting the Hawks off with a total of 9 points.
Next for the Hawks in the Intermediate division
Sierra Kuzmeski (Hatfield, Mass.) competed in the Intermediate Fences class placing 3rd and gaining 4 points for the Hawks.
In the last fences class of the day, Limit Fences,
Lindsey Savoie (Tolland, Conn.) placed 4th in the class gaining 3 more points for the team and bringing it to 16 points total for the first half of the day.
Moving on to the flat portions of the day, in the Novice division
Nina DeGrandi (Berlin, Conn.) placed 4th for the Hawks for another 3 points.
Hannah Labreche (Barrington, R.I.) rounded out the day for the Hawks in the Introductory division, placing 6th for 1 point for the team.
The Hawks totaled 22 points for the day placing them in a tie for 3rd place overall. The full results are as follows:

The Roger Williams University Equestrian team will next host their home competition on Saturday, Nov 2nd at Sandy Point Farm in Portsmouth, R.I. before they will travel to URI's show on Nov 23rd which will bring the fall portion of the season to a close.
