SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. –  The Roger Williams University men's golf team competed over the weekend at the Skidmore Fall Invitational, hosted October 11–12 at Saratoga Spa State Park Golf Course. The Hawks placed 16th overall at +81 in a  16-team field.

Amherst College claimed the team championship at even par (E), followed by Trinity (CT) at +5 and Skidmore College at +10.

For the Hawks, Sammy Johnson (West Springfield, Mass.) continued his stellar fall campaign with another top-20 finish, tying for 19th overall at +4 after rounds of 77, 70, and 73. Ryan Dacey (East Greenwich, R.I.) tied for 46th at +13, closing the weekend with a strong even-par 72 in the final round.

Joel Collins (Manchester, N.H.) tied for 90th at +31 (87–84–76), while PJ Forbes (Westport, Mass.) finished 93rd at +39 (91–84–80) and Chris Locke (Marblehead, Mass.) rounded out the Hawks' scoring in 97th at +41 (85–89–83).

The field was led individually by Western New England's Derek Johnson, who took medalist honors at -5, followed by Amherst's Thomas Zhang at -4.
