BRISTOL, R.I. – The Roger Williams University Equestrian team will open their 2025-26 campaign on Saturday, as they co-host a show with Salve Regina at Bluemead Stable in Rehoboth, Mass.
The Hawks' Equestrian team enters the season under first-year Head Coach Dirk Fogg, who comes to RWU after a 20-year stint at Johnson & Wales, coaching the Intercollegiate Horse Shows Association (IHSA) team.
The Hawks saw Mila Weilbaecher (Maryville, Tenn.) represent the Hawks at both Regionals and Zones last season, finishing eighth at Zones in the Limit Flat class. The Hawks at Regionals also saw Alexandra Macdonald (Norwood, Mass.) finish third, finishing just outside of Zone qualifications.
The Hawks return 11 riders from last season, along with a group of six newcomers to the roster.
Roger Williams finished fifth place overall as a team at Regionals last season and will look to improve in the standings heading into the 2025-26 campaign. The Hawks will take part in six shows over the fall, opening with back-to-back co-hosted shows with Salve Regina.
The Hawks will then take part in a show hosted by Brown on Saturday, Oct. 25, followed by shows by Johnson & Wales, and back-to-back shows at URI on Saturday, Nov. 1 and will be at URI on Saturday, Nov. 8 and 15.
