REHOBOTH, Mass. — The Roger Williams University Equestrian Team turned in a strong collective effort at its second show of the season, co-hosted by RWU and Salve Regina University at Bluemead Stables. Competing against seven regional programs, the Hawks earned a fourth-place team finish with 11 points on the day.

Leading the way for the Hawks was Alexandra MacDonald, who placed second in Intermediate Equitation on the Flat and sixth over fences, while Emma Gaeckle also claimed a runner-up finish in Limit Equitation on the Flat in Section B. Jessica Quesenberry added a second-place showing in Novice Equitation on the Flat for Section B.

Additional solid rides came from Lily Scarth, who earned fifth in Limit Equitation over Fences and sixth on the Flat, and Leah Folco, who placed sixth in Limit Equitation on the Flat (Section A). Nina DeGrandi, Alexis Urban-Sunter, and Sonja Federich also contributed to the Hawks' team effort with consistent rides across their divisions.

"While we are still in the building phase, our RWU Equestrian athletes' energy helped keep the day positive, and we continue to see strong development" said Head Coach Dirk Fogg.

RWU will return to competition on Saturday, Oct. 25, when they travel to Windswept Farm in Warren, R.I., for a show hosted by Brown University.
