NORTHAMPTON, Mass. – Sophia Coppola (Madison, Conn.) earned weekly recognition from the New England Women's Basketball Association (NEWBA), being named to the Second Team in the organization's weekly honors for her performance to start the season.
Coppola, through four games, has tallied 108 minutes, shooting 22-for-63 (.349) from the floor, while knocking down four three pointers. Coppola also has 13 blocks on the early season, including a four-block performance to open the season against Babson and five at Connecticut College.
The Hawks' Guard has also been a force on the boards, pulling down 28 rebounds to begin the season with four steals, averaging 15.8 points per game.
Roger Williams (3-1, 0-0 CNE) will open Conference of New England (CNE) play on Wednesday, Nov. 19 at 5:30 pm against Curry. The Hawks will then host Tufts on Friday, Nov. 21, at 7:00 pm before traveling to UMass Dartmouth on Tuesday, Nov. 25, at 6:00 pm.
