BEVERLY, Mass. – The Roger Williams University Softball team saw
Raegen Germano named the Conference of New England (CNE) Pitcher of the Week, while
Shannon Starratt earned conference Player of the Week Honors.
For Germano, the pitcher allowed three hits and two walks over 10.1 innings of work on the week, allowing only one run. Germano pitched a complete game shutout in the first game of the Hawks' doubleheader against Suffolk on Friday, allowing two hits and a pair of walks with five strikeouts. Germano also pitched 3.1 innings, picking up the win in a 16-1 victory over UNE with six strikeouts.
For Starratt, she went 7-for-13 (.538) with four RBIS on the week, including a pair of home runs against UNE. Starratt also drew a pair of walks on the week.
Roger Williams (18-10, 9-3 CNE) will take on Wentworth on Tuesday, Apr. 22.
