BRISTOL, R.I. – The Roger Williams University Club Gymnastics team placed fourth after the finals at Nationals.
On day one of the competition, the Platinum-level team placed 5th out of 72 teams, improving from their 42nd place finish the previous season.
Lily Dumaine qualified for the Vault Finals.
During the preliminary competition, the Silver Level Team placed third out of 29 teams, finishing .025 behind Charlotte and .375 behind Indiana—Bloomington. Abby Washousky finished second on the vault out of 180 competitors at the level.
For the finals on day two, the Hawks qualified by finishing in the top six in prelims. The squad closed out the day finishing fourth, just outside of a medal finish, with UCLA, Michigan, and Clemson scoring the top three spots.
Dumaine finished sixth on the day, out of the 17 qualifiers. "I can't say enough about how ell the team competed," said Head Coach
