Club Gymnastics: Dumaine Takes National Title on Vault, Hawks Place Ninth at Nationals

BRISTOL, R.I. – The Roger Williams University Club Gymnastics team delivered an impressive showing on the national stage this week, highlighted by a top-10 team finish and a national championship performance from Lily Dumaine (Westport, Mass.).

Competing against a field of 43 teams, RWU's platinum squad advanced to the team finals and secured a ninth-place finish overall, marking one of the program's strongest national results in recent memory.

Individually, the Hawks saw multiple gymnasts qualify for event finals across several disciplines. Kate Connery (Wallingford, Conn.) led the way with finals appearances on vault, beam, and floor, showcasing her versatility and consistency throughout the competition. Ava Pelkey (Winchester, N.H.) and Julia Prancuk (Shelton, Conn.) each earned spots in the vault finals, while Adrianna Kenny qualified for the beam finals. Dumaine added to the team's strong presence by qualifying for both vault and beam finals.

Dumaine's performance proved to be the highlight of the meet, as she captured the national title on vault with a score of 9.6. Her first-place finish came against a massive field of 323 gymnasts, cementing her as one of the top performers in the country.
