DUDLEY, Mass. – The Roger Williams University Softball team is set to stave off elimination on Thursday when they take on No. 6 Wentworth in an elimination game at No. 2 Nichols.
 
The Hawks took game one of their CNE Tournament, defeating No. 5 Suffolk, 1-0, behind Raegen Germano's first career no-hitter, and falling to No. 1 Endicott in a 4-3 contest in their second game of the day.
 
Roger Williams is led on the offensive end by Shannon Starratt who is hitting .376 on the season, with five home runs and 26 RBIs. Starratt also has nine doubles, and three triples, all of which leads the team. Lucy Maurao has hit .349 with 109 at bats, and 38 hits, with 11 total RBIs, while Christina Denovellis and Hailey Williams have hit .321 and .263, respectively. Vianna Chamberlin has tallied 28 hits, batting .280 with five home runs.

In the circle, Keira Quadros has posted a 2.79 ERA with 11 complete games and a pair of saves, going 7-5 on the year. Quadros has struck out 82 over 93.2 innings of work. Raegen Germano has also been a key factor in the circle, spinning 91.0 innings with 104 strikeouts and holding opponents to a .192 batting average and 3.16 ERA, throwing a no-hitter against Suffolk on Wednesday.
 
Wentworth has posted a 20-21 record with a 9-9 CNE record through the season to this point, the Leopards do have the edge in the season series, with a 2-0 record against the Hawks, with a sweep on Apr. 22. The Leopards are led offensively by Kyla Igawa with a 45 hits and 25 RBIs while hitting .375. Linnea Carlson has hit .362 with 29 hits on the season. Jess Rowe has hit six homeruns to lead the team.
 
Julia Malowitz has made 22 appearances in the circle with a 4.56 ERA with 13 starts and 93.2 innings pitched. They also have Julie Schriver who had a 4.03 ERA with 17 appearances and 13 starts with a 7-5 record.
