DARTMOUTH, Mass. - The Roger Williams University Women's Cross Country team finished 12th out of 22 teams in the Navy 6K race at the Connecticut College Invitational on Saturday, scoring 298 points. The Hawks trailed Suffolk, who placed 11th with 276 points. Brown place first with 33 total points.
Grace Baldwin (Braintree, Mass.) led RWU with a career-best performance, clocking a personal record of 24:40.45. Gabriella Sitzer (Slingerlands, N.Y.) followed in 26:09.83, while Katie Flaherty (West Hartford, Conn.) crossed the line in 26:29.07.
Katlynn Joseph (Cumberland, R.I.) added another PR for the Hawks with her 26:34.55 finish, and Amanda Walsh (South Windsor, Conn.) came through in 26:56.27 to complete the scoring. First-year Lindsay Maine (Richmond, R.I.) rounded out the lineup with a 29:40.55 in her first collegiate 6K.
Roger Williams will return to action on Friday, Oct. 3 at the Paul Short Invitational in Bethlehem, PA.
