BEVERLY, Mass. – The Conference of New England (CNE) has announced its winners for weekly awards, naming Roger Williams University's Nathan Evans (Lincoln, R.I.) as the Runner of the Week.
This is the first time Evans has been named CNE Runner of the Week. Evans placed 54th overall in a competitive Field at the UMass Dartmouth XC Invitational, finishing with a time of 25:59.0, averaging a time of 5:13.6 per mile.
Evans was the eighth Division III runner to cross the finish line. The time also marks the best time in an 8K by a CNE runner this season.
Roger Williams will return to action on Friday, Oct. 3, at the Paul Short Invitational in Bethlehem, Pa., hosted by Lehigh.
